Dan is a fourth generation Alaskan, the third of nine children of George and Margaret Sullivan. Dan's wife Lynnette is an award-winning elementary school teacher and his daughter Jennifer graduated with honors from the Anchorage School District and from the University of Oregon's Clark Honors College in 2009.
