Gonzalez Marketing, LLC announces the Alaska IT Industry’s most important event of the year: IT Expo 2009, Thursday October 29, 2009 at Anchorage’s Denai’na Convention Center. Presented by GCI Communications and sponsored by Microsoft, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Worldwide Technology, Right Systems, Applied Microsystems and Tekmate, IT Expo Alaska 2009 will feature presentations and product exhibits from 75 information technology companies representing hundreds of products, services and applications geared for Small-Medium Business and Enterprise level decision-makers.

IT Expo provides CEO/CIO/CFO's, systems administrators and IT professionals a focused opportunity to gain knowledge, interact with experts, see systems in action, and make direct contact with service and product suppliers.

IT Expo Alaska 2009 morning presentations will be tailored to CEO/CIO/CFO-level attendees of organizations with 200+ system desktops in use, from 7:30am – 1:00pm. Small-Medium Business-focused presentations (20-200 desktops) are scheduled for afternoon sessions, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.  Topics will include Security, Data Management, Virtualization, Collaboration, Telephony/Communications technology, Cloud Computing, Videoconferencing, Microsoft, Storage, and more. Attendance is limited to CEO/CIO/CFO level decision makers, IT systems administrators, IT professionals, AITP members, and staff and guests of sponsors. Advance registration is required and will be available soon.

IT Expo Alaska 2009 will open with a free welcome breakfast buffet sponsored by Worldwide Technology, and opening remarks by event producers and sponsors.

At 8:00am, keynote presentation by highly respected Microsoft Vice President, Information Worker Business Value, Robert McDowell. Mr. McDowell joined Microsoft in 1990 to establish Microsoft Consulting Services and in 2002  took on his current role in the Information Worker Group helping customers maximize their use of current Microsoft Office technologies in ways that significantly add business value to their organizations.

Mr. McDowell is the author of several articles on the impact of information technology on business including “In Search of Business Value: Ensuring a Return on Your Technology Investment,” which deals with how to translate technology investments into business value. 

Morning session presentations and exhibits will focus on Medium to Enterprise business solutions.

IT Expo Alaska sponsor Cisco Systems will host a luncheon (free to sponsor guests and CEOs/CIOs/CFOs, $25 to all others) with a presentation from a panel from around the globe utilizing the latest in tele-presence technology, in association with AT&T.

Afternoon sessions will focus on security, storage, software and technology in perspective decision-makers for organizations with 20 to 200 desktops. Presentations will showcase technology designed to maximize existing IT systems, reduce cost, reduce environmental impact, reduce downtime, improve efficiency and return on investment. 

Microsoft will host a Microsoft Stage and Microsoft Partner Pavilion with experts in each of their showcased systems and software applications. Meet Microsoft staff and partners and learn about productivity tools from Microsoft.
