Welcome to The Alaska Information Technology and Business Expo 2010.
AK IT/B 2010 focuses on the essentials of information technology: security, infrastructure, programming, document management, communications, storage, collaboration, virtualization, Cloud computing and more via exhibits and presentations.
AK IT/B supports the Community →For attendees, AK IT/B is a once-a year, free* opportunity to review technology and business services with direct access to experts in each specialty. Review products and services, participate in product demonstrations, solicit requests for proposal, and plan for future needs.
In addition to exhibits representing hundreds of products and services, AK IT/B will present 26 feature presentations, tracked for specific industry and organizational size.

IT For Medium to Enterprise
Our morning “C-Forum” presentation session 8:00am-12:00pm is focused on IT solutions for Medium to Enterprise organizations for C-level executives, sponsors and guests. AK IT/B is pleased to announce keynote address by Buck Woody, SQL Server Senior Technical Specialist for Microsoft speaking on Microsoft’s Approach to Cloud Computing. Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan will welcome the C-Forum presentation series, which includes presentations from GCI, Xerox, Cisco, Network Business Systems/NetApp, Arctic IT, Applied Microsystems, TekMate, and Software One. C-Forum attendance requires advance registration.
At 11:30am, doors open to the public for general admission. Attendees may register by 10/27 and receive a pass or pay $8.00 at the door.
IT For Health Care
Stage 1 presentations from 12:00pm to 4:00pm will focus on “IT for Health Care,” sponsored by The Alaska E-Health Network, with feature presentations by The Alaska E-Health Network, GCI, Xerox, and Resource Data.
IT For State & Local Government
Stage 2 presentations from 12pm – 4pm will focus will be on IT for State and Local Government/Education with presentations by Applied Microsystems, Denalitek, GTRI, Arctic IT and Xerox.
IT For SMB
From 4pm to 7pm, our presentation focus will shift to Small to Medium Business, with feature presentations by AEDC’s Bill Popp, The Alaska Small Business Development Center, GCI, Denalitek, Gonzalez Marketing, Alaska Integrated Media, and others to be announced.

Keynote Presentation
"The Cloud and the Third Age of Computing"
Buck Woody is a SQL Server Senior Technical Specialist for Microsoft, working with enterprise-level clients to develop computing platform architecture solutions within their organizations. He has over twenty years professional and practical experience in computer technology in general and data systems design and implementation in specific. He is the author of over 400 articles and five books on SQL Server; and he teaches a Database Design course at the University of Washington.
